Alpine cattle drive and Törggele weeks

In autumn, the Eisack Valley has some surprises for its visitors: on the one hand, there comes the time for the traditional “Törggelen“ – when old taverns along picturesque walking paths through the countryside offer new wine, must, chestnuts and other local dishes to celebrate the new wine. On the other hand, many places celebrate the return of the cattle from their summer retreat on the mountain pastures with a traditional folk festival. Two events you definitely should not miss!
