The Rodenecker Lüsner Alp is located above Forchnerhof and is one of the most beautiful high-altitude alps in South Tyrol. The extensive network of trails starts nearby and invites you to go hiking and mountain biking in summer, as well as cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter.

Where exactly is Forchnerhof located in Rodeneck and what is the view like?
The farm is located on a sunny panoramic terrace at an altitude of 1,070 meters, directly on the edge of the forest above Rodeneck. It offers a completely unobstructed view over three valleys as well as seventeen church steeples in the region.
Are children allowed to help in the stable at Forchnerhof?
Yes, as the farm is an actively managed dairy farm, children can accompany the Lanthaler family directly into the stable to see the cows and calves. In addition, tame small animals such as cats and rabbits are waiting to be petted.
Which farm-grown products are available for breakfast at Forchnerhof?
The farm breakfast offers fresh milk from our own cows, eggs from the farm’s own chickens, and homemade fruit spreads and syrups. It is complemented by regional products from the nearby Brimi dairy.
How sustainable is a vacation at Forchnerhof?
Forchnerhof holds the South Tyrol Sustainability Label Level 2. Electricity is generated by the farm’s own photovoltaic system, heating is low-CO₂ with pellets, and the water comes from our own mountain spring.
Is the drive to Forchnerhof in Rodeneck safe in winter too?
Yes, Forchnerhof is easily accessible all year round. The last kilometer is via an ascending forest road that is reliably cleared in winter. With appropriate winter equipment, the drive is usually possible without any problems.
