At Forchnerhof, us, the Lanthaler family – meaning Arnold and Ramona, our daughters Diana, Alexandra, Maria and the seniors Friedl and Lise together with our animal cohabitants are welcoming you. Especially our farm dog is happy to meet you and knows how to receive you in the most charming way. Him, our farm cats and rabbits enjoy your attention and can’t wait for you to pet them. Furthermore, there are many cows living with us at our panoramic farm (which are waiting for you to visit them in their barn), since we’re especially focusing on dairy farming.
In our new annexe, there are four new, state-of-the art and cosy apartments at your disposal which we supply with solar energy from our photovoltaic system and keep warm for you with pellet heating. Your wellbeing, those of our animals and the environment is dear to our hearts and that is why we’re trying to make a contribution to protect our earth by the use of renewable energies. The gem of our farm and what makes us particularly proud: our own water spring.

Farmer’s breakfast – a perfect start to the day
The view of the panoramic mountains makes you want to go hiking, skiing, cross-country skiing. But before that, guests enjoy a farmer’s breakfast freshly prepared by the manager of the house with lots of love from the farm’s own produce. For homemade fruit spreads and syrups, there is spicy bread, ham and bacon, fresh milk, cheese and other dairy products. Regional honey, juices and freshly laid eggs, South Tyrolean herbal tea and coffee. Cake is also available as well as warm chocolate or chocolate spread.

But there’s a lot more to the Ski- & Holiday Area Gitschberg Jochtal than “just” that: here, you can stop by at over 30 alps and traditional mountain huts, climb summits, follow the theme and adventure paths, do horse-riding, climbing, go for a carriage-ride in summer or a horse sleigh ride in winter, tobogganing and much more!
Culture and history enthusiasts too get their money’s worth: above Rodeneck, there is the Rodenegg Castle, one of the largest and strongest fortresses of South Tyrol one should definitely visit.
The numerous events organized by the Holiday Areas Gitschberg Jochtal and Rodeneck for locals and tourists likewise all over the year are particularly interesting.
